“Happy Cinco de Mayo!” Or, as I’m thinking of it today, “Yippee only three more days before I leave for Montana.”
Yesterday evening, I spent some quality time with my son. I was invited to a special screening of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and was allowed to bring a guest. I’m nowhere near being a fan of being around large groups of people, but being able to spend that time with my son was well worth the sacrifice. But, boy, I’ll tell you. There’s a reason why, when on the rare occasion I feel like watching a movie, I always go to the first showing on a Monday or Tuesday. It’s always slow and often I’m the only one in the theater.
Today was the day I loaded the truck with my gear. I know, it’s not a lot of gear, but It’s also something less I have to haul through the airport.
I had some friends show up to the yard to bid farewell. It was unexpected but pleasant. We grabbed some lunch and just hung out for some time. It was a good time.
Now that my gear is on the truck and the day begins to unwind, I can begin to relax and just, well, do nothing but plan exactly where is the first stretch of river I’m going to fish.
